ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) After a day filled with lake flakes and gusty winds we will start to see the lake flakes wind down. A few flurries will be present on Sunday morning and temperatures will be in the teens again. We will start the day around 14 degrees.
The weather will be quieter on Sunday and we will look at cloudy skies in the afternoon hours. We will continue to stay cold for Monday and we have our eye on a system to our south that could bring us some widespread snowfall. The more north this system moves, the more snow we will get. As of now, it does look like most of the region will see light to moderate snowfall Tuesday-Tuesday night.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) The News10NBC First Alert Weather Team issued a Yellow Alert for Tuesday.
We are looking at a storm system potentially bringing widespread snowfall to our region. The timing and track could still change a bit but it looks like snow will start to accumulate Tuesday morning into the afternoon.
Totals will not be overwhelming, but it is the timing of the snow that will impact you. Right now models are looking at anywhere from 3-6 inches of snowfall throughout the region. We will also have wind gusts up to 25 mph which will easily blow snow around and reduce visibility.
